2013 Review in Images
The word I would use to describe this year is definitely WHIRLWIND!!! It has been an amazing experience and I would like to thank all those who have supported me from the bottom of my heart, from past clients to future clients and also my friends and family, not forgetting Craig! There have been some incredible highs but also a few challenges to overcome and I really appreciate all your support which enables to me do the job I truly love.
I don't want to turn this into a super wordy post so here are a few highlights from this year, followed by some images to try and sum up what has definitely been an incredible journey.
Fifteen beautiful weddings, amazing venues from Ayrshire to Aberdeenshire, lovely couples many of whom have become friends, hundreds and hundreds (if not thousands) of friendly wedding guests, taking photographs at some wild parties and 21st's, Marzi and Barry's anniversary photo shoot in the freezing snow, several cover photographs on different newspapers and magazines, meeting fantastic couples and many of their four legged friends on engagement shoots, creating a hilarious Gangnam Style video for Highland Safaris in aid of Comic Relief (which raised over £1,000 in donations), creating beautiful images for families to cherish, the overwhelming experience of photographing the birth of baby Ivy, organising my very first styled shoot in conjunction with Hannah Love, having one of my images chosen as the Image of the Week by One Vision, my first maternity photography session, holding two training days and being able to share my knowledge with budding photographers, investing heavily in equipment and learning how to use Off Camera Flash, taking photographs for Castleton Farm Shop, Kersmains Farm Cottages, CSS, Scottish Association of Young Farmers and a particularly funny photoshoot at the Hideaway Experience with Sally and Simon (scroll down to see the feet in the bed photo!), being the Official Photographer at Scotsburn BE Event on a scorching hot day, when Iona got a ducking in the water jump at Auchlishie (Iona was not hurt, she remounted and very bravely completed the course)one of my photographs being chosen for the front cover of Classic Tractor magazine and it turned out to be one of their best selling issues for years! And who could forget the Groom's who were completely overcome with emotion on their wedding days, the Bride who did a handstand in her wedding dress and the Best Man who had a fascination with flashing!
2013 has been an amazing year and 2014 is shaping up to be incredible, starting with Debbie and Johnny's wedding at Huntingtower before heading over to New Zealand to photograph Jaime and Ben's wedding.... Bring it on!
